Right in the heart of the so-called ‘Sustainable Triangle’ (Duurzame Driehoek), the area in between the cities ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Eindhoven and Tilburg in the Netherlands, 11 municipalities signed the Countdown 2010 declaration. Despite the pouring rain, there was a positive spirit and everybody present welcomed the new partners. This means that all 16 municipalities within the Sustainable Triangle have now signed up to Countdown 2010!

Together with the Province, the municipalities in the Sustainable Triangle want to make out a case for sustainable development. This is being done by executing projects to increase the natural, historical and cultural values of their region. Also at the signing event, the digital ‘Green Map’ of the Sustainable Triangle was presented. This interactive map shows what is available in the region by way of recreational activities in nature and aims at stimulating people to become more nature oriented in their leisure activities within the region of the Sustainable Triangle.
